Regulatory and Compliance Counsel

A household name and global leader in their electronics field, based in Surrey, are looking for a Regulatory and Compliance Counsel.

The Regulatory and Compliance Counsel will be involved across the UK and Ireland business with some key areas of responsibility including:

- Provision of prompt and detailed legal advice in relation to legal questions and documentation, in particular in respect of competition law, and bribery and corruption.
- Management, development and implementation of policies, processes and training to ensure the company meets all necessary regulatory requirements, and the requirements of the businesses global policies and processes.
- Be a principal point of contact for the Global and European HQ Legal and Compliance Teams relating to regulatory and compliance matters affecting the UK and Irish Businesses.
- Arrange and conduct internal compliance audits throughout the company where required.
- Prepare weekly reports to the UK General Counsel and the CFO of regulatory and compliance activities and issues.

Skills

The right person should be a qualified solicitor with competition law and other regulatory experience. The Regulatory and Compliance Counsel should also have spent some time in a compliance role.

You should have good academics and have trained at a top tier London or major provincial firm. In-house experience is also desirable.
