Corporate Commercial Solicitor

A fantastic new role has arisen with our highly reputable client based in Newcastle. The firm is looking to recruit a Corporate/Commercial Solicitor to join their department.Our client is a full service law firm with a great local reputation in the North East.

The firm takes a pragmatic approach to its dealings and this is an excellent role for an ambitious lawyer looking to join a team where they will be involved at the heart of transactions they assist with and provide technical advice in a truly commercial context.

The Role:

You will be working on behalf of a range of clients including high net worth individuals, SMEs, listed companies and startups.

The team handles a range of work including mergers and acquisitions, private share placings, corporate re-structuring, general commercial contracts, private company shareholder agreements and the resolution of shareholder and partnership disputes.

A keenness to get involved in the firm's business and marketing development will put you in a good position for being considered for this role.

You will be required to deliver training to the team where appropriate.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be technically strong and be capable of handling a range of Corporate / Commercial work including mergers and acquisitions, private share placings, corporate re-structuring, general commercial contracts, private company shareholder agreements and the resolution of shareholder and partnership disputes.

The firm is ideally looking to recruit a Solicitor with between 3 and 5 years post qualification experience. However, this is a rough guideline and the firm is happy to also consider CVs from candidates who's PQE falls closely outside of this range. As long as you have proven experience working on Corporate/Commercial transactions, then please don't hesitate to apply if you think this role could be for you.

You will be an ambitious lawyer who is hungry for career progression in a team where you will be heavily involved in each element of the transactions you assist with and therefore, you will need a strong commercial acumen.
