The role and responsibilities of the job being:-

• Accounts systems development, enhancement and implementation
• Oversee the development of our worldwide systems and their integration into all of the related databases within the group
• Oversee all finance related processes and ensure their accuracy and fitness for purpose
• Support the FD with new client management
• Support the FD with credit management including controls and processes
• Manage the Senior Accountant with her tasks and staff management
• Short term cash management
• Management of accounting systems (Concept accounting system), and the management, integration and reconciliation of various order entry systems.
• Commission reporting
• Review the monthly client GP reporting
• Audit liaison
• Review the VAT returns and reconciliations
• Management of HMRC inspections
• Ensure the balance sheet in its entirety is robust and accurate
• Act up to the board on the occasions the FD is unavailable
• Assist the FD with acquisition activity
• Assist the FD with the management of the company's banking relationships
• Long term, if the candidate is sufficiently capable take over the position of the FD upon his departure

WHO ARE YOU?

• A technically strong qualified accountant, 2-4 years PQE

• Have strong people management skills
• Have the ability to understand complicated group processes
• Must be able to be able to refine and implement procedures to allow for greater levels of efficiency and precision in the business.
• Good communication and listening skills 
• Enthusiastic team player
