Service Director Growth, Economy and Culture
Up to £98k per annum

You will have a strong strategic grasp and be able to operate effectively within a vibrant political and stakeholder environment. You will also need to demonstrate the capacity to lead service improvement, create great partnerships and ensure value for money. Above all, you will show a passion to deliver important outcomes for the people of Milton Keynes.

This role will report to the Corporate Director of Place and is a key member of our leadership group. You will work as a team with our Chief Executive, councillors of all parties, colleagues across the Council and a wide range of other partners, to delivery joined up growth at scale, in support of the Council Plan.

The current post holder leaves us at an advanced state with our local plan, PlanMK. The challenge for the next post holder is to turn that plan and many more into reality.  This is a key role affecting substantial aspects of our customer experience, cultural offer, health and wellbeing, development management, economic development, place making, infrastructure planning and inward investment.
