ACCOUNTABILITY

Reporting to the Financial Controller

TEAM PROFILE

The Euro Car Parts Cash and Bank team is responsible for all processes in respect of cash and bank procedures. The team is involved in ongoing ad-hoc projects relating to cash and bank controls and processes and the development of the ERP System to assist in the continuous improvement of Euro Car Parts as the market leader.

OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

• Management and development of the Cash and Bank team
• Management of effective controls for treasury management
• Ensuring all policies and procedures relating to treasury are adhered to
• Designing and implementing improvements in treasury processes and controls


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Management of Cash and Banking team including staff appraisal, development and training
• Ensure that the Cash and Bank department is appropriately staffed
• Responsible for management of cash, foreign exchange and cash flow reporting
• Timely preparation of relevant management information to facilitate decision making with respect to cash management and currency exposure
• Manage relationship with banks on day to day basis
• Manage the relationships with 3rd parties for all cash and treasury related matters
• Performance management of the treasury function
• Managing exception reporting and the escalation process to the relevant manager of all incidents where procedures are not being properly administered and ensure that suitable action is taken
• Optimise integrity of Cash and Bank records and related ERP system through the maintenance of high quality controls and procedures ensuring efficient and effective control
• Ensuring team provides cash accounting and administrative support to the finance department in general, branches and management accounting function
• Participate in projects involving cash management, cash security and development of IT systems
• Assist in the development of robust Cash and Bank processes and on-going improvements in process, procedure and control
