Finance Manager

I am currently working with a fast growth international insurance broker who is part of a group that has been identified as one of the UK's top private businesses with fast growing profits. Following a trail or acquisitions and organic growth, the business is now truly global.

A rare opportunity has arisen to join their team as a Finance Manager, with a clear and real chance of progressing towards the UK FD position in time. In my opinion this is a fantastic role which will offer you a balance between reporting, analysis, planning/ forecasting and business partnering. Your responsibilities will be broad but you will play a key part in linking the finance team with the business. Therefore your time will be split between helping the business to understand their P&L's, overseeing the operational finance team, managing month-end reporting, developing forecasting and planning and managing a team of 6.

One of the key selling points in this role is the exposure and opportunity that you will gain. There will be a high level of interaction and partnering of the UK and overseas offices, both from a view of support and also to challenge them on their forecasts. In addition to this you are also going to get a lot of exposure to the groups senior management team.

The Group Finance Director that you will be working for is highly inspirational and a big believe in giving his team the opportunity to step up, prove their ability and progress. With that in mind, he will give you the opportunity to work on exciting projects and diversify this role even further.

I am therefore looking for an ACA/ CA qualified accountant who has in the region of 3-5 years post qualified experience and the ability to work in a business partnering capacity. You will need to have a combination of reporting, analysis and planning/ forecasting skills combined with recent experience of managing a team and interacting with senior commercial stakeholders. To be considered for an interview you will need to be a driven, hard working and ambitious individual who is proactive in their approach.
