The Role

The Director of Business Finance will be responsible for the delivery of all Business Finance activities across CSR. The role will involve the delivery of high quality Business partnering and financial support, challenging the executive team and their reports.

You will be responsible for leading a team of 5 who provide business partnering, financial support and analysis across the organisation.

- Analyse and challenge new business proposals including internal and external risk assessments, analysis of commercial impact and commitment of company resource - IRB, Contract Reviews, Sales Commissions, IP Spend, and Acquisition Due Diligence.

- Assist Senior stakeholders to formulate budgets, strategic operational plans and investigation of new revenue streams.

- Provide strong analytics and business performance insight and use this to question and challenge assumptions.

- Create healthy debate with business partners on critical decisions by pressure testing ideas, questioning and challenging underperforming projects and installing financial rigor into project performance reviews.

- Ensure appropriate targeting of OPEX, CAPEX and resource budgets across the organisation, making sure budgets are clearly understood and owned.

- Ensure mechanisms exist to identify budget challenges early, provide robust, timely and insightful analysis and ensure appropriate action is taken on a timely basis to delivery against budget.

- Drive operation excellence across the organisation, looking for ways to continually improve end to end operational flows and influence positive change in organisational structure and ways of working.

- Drive efficiency within the business finance team. Deliver routine tasks (budgets, F/C updates, actual reporting, month end close etc) seamlessly through automation and by using the right tools for the job freeing up time to add value through insight and challenge.

The perfect candidate will have operated in a Senior Finance Management role, providing Business partnering to Senior level stakeholders. You will have managed a high performing team and will communicate and collaborate well at all levels.

Senior Director for News Media Relations

The Office of Strategic Communication is seeking a Senior Director for News Media Relations who will provide strategic leadership for university-wide news media relations and issues management functions and plan and direct comprehensive efforts to identify and earn news media coverage of themes and stories that support institutional brand/position and top priorities. Working under the general executive direction of the Vice President for Strategic Communication, the Senior Director will develop, model and implement a proactive "media engagement" strategy as well as cultivate relationships with principal, high-level editors and producers and establish productive and trusting relationships with campus leaders and key sources in all major administrative and academic areas.

The Senior Director for News Media Relations will create and execute an annual plan for earned media coverage - working closely with the Senior Director for Marketing Communications to assure that earned media strategy is closely aligned to strategies for paid, direct and shared media; create media coverage plans for specific high-priority events and opportunities; and personally manage high-profile, high-risk and high-opportunity stories with message development that may include serving as institutional spokesperson.

Required qualifications are a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) preferably Business, Marketing, Journalism, Mass Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, English, History or a related field; at least 7 years work in a professional or managerial role in news media relations ("PR") or a closely related field (for example: marketing communications, journalism, brand management, advertising or sales management); experience supervising people and leading teams; experience planning and directing efforts to earn news coverage to support an organization's goals; experience serving as a media spokesperson in high-pressure, high-risk situations; and demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment and/or demonstrated commitment to promoting a diverse environment.

Desirable qualifications include a track record of building professional relationships with staff, organizational leaders, journalists, and key influencers; outstanding verbal and written communication skills; experience developing strategic, research-based communication plans; and experience in higher education, health care, government or non-profit organizations.

Summary/Scope:
The Clinical Research Physician, Hematology/Oncology will be instrumental in supporting the growth of the Solid Tumors organization as it continues to build the value of its current products and develop new products. The incumbent will have hands-on responsibility designing and executing clinical trials, and running programs focused on assigned therapeutic areas. and will exhibit a passion for Phases 1 through 3, including biomarkers, proof-of-concept and full development.

Core Responsibilities:
• Design and optimize clinical trial design and ensure clinical trials meet ethical and regulatory standards.
• Lead the Clinical Protocol Team, including interactions with discovery, safety, marketing, regulatory, research and other functions.
• Write protocols that are in-line with the overall indication strategy.
• Present at Investigators' meetings.
• Conduct medical review and interpretation of efficacy and safety data from clinical trials.
• Have responsibility for the quality, coordination, medical accuracy and timeliness of clinical study reports.
• Work with other Therapeutic Area Heads and team members to prepare abstracts, manuscripts and presentations for external meetings as well as author clinical sections of regulatory documents (IB, IND sections).
• Assist senior management to oversee quality, coordination and timeliness of clinical sections of INDs, Investigator Brochures, CTAs, ISS's, ISE's, and clinical expert reports.
• Present and discuss data and findings at relevant team, governance, KOL and regulatory meetings.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with Study investigators, key opinion leaders, academicians, and Celgene Senior managers and department heads across the corporation
• Ensure adherence to GCP/ICH and Celgene Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) standards.
• Maintain clinical and scientific awareness in area of expertise.
• Guide and influence the distribution and management of Clinical Research Scientists
• Manage lifecycle requirements and plans for designated indications.

Qualifications
