An experienced commercial solicitor is sought to join the business services team of this highly regarded national practice based at the Nottingham office to specialise in intellectual property and information technology. The role covers mainly non-contentious areas of law including patent and trade mark licences and other commercial agreements involving the ownership, use or exploitation of IP rights as well as advising on IT and other commercial contracts.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 4 years PQE in this niche area of law with a sound background in the general principles of patent, trade mark, copyright and design law and their application to commercial situations and contracts as well as a strong academic background. A postgraduate diploma in IP law would be an advantage but is not a pre-requisite.
