Senior Network Engineer required for a global broadcasting company based in London.
As a Senior Network Engineer you will design, Plan, Maintain and Support data network services: this includes providing local, metropolitan, and wide area network connectivity, internet connectivity, troubleshooting, capacity and disaster-recovery planning in order to ensure that there is always data connectivity for the users.
You should have experience in design and deployment of large scale data and voice network environments, hands on experience in using Cisco/Juniper/Avaya in a data centre environment Proficient knowledge in configuration of network core switches, routers, firewall, load balancers, data connectivity including design, configuration and implementation, and disaster recovery methodologies and best practices
Knowledge in Network switching / routing technologies, Qos, network monitoring tools.

Infrastructure Manager / Programme Manager (Network Services)

Position: Programme Manager
Location: London
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
ROLE:
The Infrastructure Manager / Programme Manager will Instigate, investigate, present, control and manage all major Random House UK Group projects relating to the Technology Services Group. You will also manage and mentor the Project management team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Manage all major projects and some minor relating to infrastructure within overall strategy for the I.T. Division.
b) Maintain and update the Technology Services project planning / management tools. Maintain and work too and within the Group project management standards.
c) Investigate user requirements and undertake appropriate investigation and instigate projects as required.
d) Prepare financial justifications and technical proposals for projects as required. This will involve working with user departments, finance group and external suppliers/service providers as required.
e) Keep abreast of current / evolving technical standards and products that may be of use / benefit to the RHUK group.
f) Maintain a good working relationship with the RH US organisation to ensure commonality – where appropriate across the globe.
g) Provide implementation management of major projects through use of internal and external resources as required. Ensuring good communication with all interested parties as necessary.
h) Identify and ensuring appropriate use of resources as required.
i) Control projects and budgets to ensure they come in on time and within budget.
j) Provide detailed and regular updates to the Technology Services Director and user departments as necessary.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Educated to Graduate standard, with lengthy proven experience in an IT Infrastructure environment.
b) Strong project Management experience and Prince 2 / APM methodology qualifications.
c) Relevant experience in the following: LAN / WAN Technologies & Design, Desktop applications and operating systems, Telephony Systems, General infrastructure.
d) Have good communication, inter-personal and project management skills.
e) Willing to travel to all Group and non-Group sites.
You may have experience of the following: Program Manager, IT Infrastructure, Project Manager, Network Engineer, Telephony, Prince 2, Six Sigma, Infrastructure Engineer, 6 Sigma, Prince II, Project Management, Project Delivery Manager, Programme Manager, Implementation Manager, APM, LAN, Systems Administration, WAN, Project Leader, Infrastructure Project Manager, PMO Manager, ITIL Publishing, Technical Architect, Network Manager, Senior Support Engineer, etc.
