Based in the London office of this prestigious global Market Research agency, you will be responsible for positioning and promoting the business externally in order to generate greater brand awareness in line with the company’s business objectives for both the public and private sector. The Role:
- To be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives.
- To evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the marketing of company products and services
- Demonstrate technical marketing skills and company product knowledge.

SENIOR FINANCIAL & COMMERCIAL ANALYST
Only those with Marketing Communications Agency experience will be considered for this post.
The Financial Analyst will need to work closely with the division’s CFO and CEO, together with the senior team within the division and the Group CFO. The Financial Analyst will also need to work directly with the Group Chairman on all pricing issues and will be responsible for maintaining and developing the pricing tool to his direct instructions.
The person will be an essential part in supporting the professionalising of the finance function within the division’s domain to go from a level of adequate performance to one where it provides a competitive advantage.
The position will work with the Group Finance department who are responsible for the accounting and compliance work across all of the Group businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Price tool. Work with Group Chairman in maintaining the division’s pricing tools as instructed and ensuring other access and administrative tasks are carried out strictly to instructions.
2. Sales reporting. Weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of sales by business, client, type of business for all senior leaders.
3. Project profitability. Review and correct the project ledger information produced by the Group finance department for low margin projects or streams of business.
4. Incentives reporting. Reporting around total payments to respondents and suppliers.
5. Monitoring other external cost of sales and making recommendations on improvements.
6. Monitoring staff head count and staff/employee cost to ensure they are under control and not increasing significantly.
7. P&L analysis with detailed variance analysis for monitoring cost both direct and indirect and performance versus prior period and budget.
8. Budgeting. Production of annual (or rolling) budgets for each business unit.
9. Forecasting. Building rolling estimates of the run rate of each business.
10. Contractual negotiations and legal support. Support negotiations with procurement departments and review of legal agreements.
11. Investment analysis. Financial projections for potential new initiatives and monitoring/evaluation on current investments.
12. Cost reduction exercises. Continual review of expenses to ensure efficient use of business funds.
13. Ad hoc reporting. Including operational reports.
14. Weekly Cash flow forecast for the next 6 months (first 3 months weekly and then monthly) – when appropriate.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
1. Excellent excel and project management skills.
2. Methodical approach to analysing data, with an emphasis on being thorough
3. Ability to thoroughly pull together information and present it in a format(s) that is easily understandable by the relevant reader
4. Strong communication, listening and influencing skills.
5. Very professional approach, highly valuing the quality of work produced.
Experience:
1. At least 5 years’ experience post-qualification of working as financial analyst in a marketing services business
2. Knowledge of Market research and/or Healthcare sector would be an added advantage.
3. Good degree and professionally qualified: e.g. CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
