The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop his/her career in a position of real responsibility, with a view to progressing to Assistant Finance Director once proven. As well as taking full ownership for the output and efficiency of the finance department, reporting directly to the Finance Director, the ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:
• Manage a number of initiatives during a period of change
• Work on detailed aspects of certain initiatives
• Manage the evolution of all accounting and management reporting systems and processes
• Lead and develop a team of 30 people (3 direct reports)
• Work closely with key staff across the business

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) and will have had a senior finance role already. He/she will have had experience performing a range of finance roles, including involvement in the development and implementation of accounting and management reporting systems and processes.

He/she will be a commercial, results-focused achiever, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to defend a viewpoint on key financial and commercial issues, and the ability to work independently. Previous relevant sector experience would be an advantage, though is not essential.
