Real Estate – Finance Business Partner - Our Client is a highly successful and influential global real estate group. We are currently working with their EMEA corporate management team to identify a qualified accountant who will be responsible for reporting and overall co-ordination of the accounting delivery to a blue chip client within the UK. The incumbent will be expected to work as part of an expanding team and within a corporate services environment.

The Role: Key duties will include:

* Acting as key contact for the client on accounting matters and proactively managing and delivering accounting services to the client, implementing best practice.
* Forecasting variations and identifying, investigating and commenting on variances including both expense and revenue lines.
* Supporting/mentoring AP, AR and Cashier operational resources to deliver required services and to limit financial or commercial risk to the client and proactively manage and protect income.
* Transformation and/ or oversight of:

* Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of CRE costs and revenue.
* Annual coordination and consolidation of budgets (3-5 year plans) and quarterly reforecasting.
* Monthly income and expense reports.
* Monthly and quarterly tax reports.
* Monthly debt reports on income portfolio.
* Statutory reporting including provisioning.

* Co-ordinating and preparing service charge budgets, forecasts and year-end reconciliations and management of Service Charge Buildings ensuring completion of all requirements including monthly re-forecasting accruals and prepayment calculations, quarterly finance meetings.
* Overseeing and signing off monthly processes including bank reconciliations, fund transfers, client floats and monthly pay-overs, key performance metrics around account and team daily payment authorisations.
* Day-to-day interaction with client accounting, data management and estates management team to deliver seamless and cohesive client approach.
* Working with account delivery team and shared service functions and Heads internationally.
* Ad hoc client projects.

The Person: To apply, you will be a qualified accountant with several years PQE and ideally have had exposure to one of the following areas: - RICS accounting guidelines, CRE (Corporate Real Estate / Occupier) or retail property accounting. You will be able to communicate accounting matters in a clear and concise manner to clients with differing backgrounds, including those outside of finance and treasury functions; Likewise be able to prioritise with the client and your team’s day-to-day tasks and projects alike and be able to effectively communicate risks, issues and achievements. Additionally, you will possess advanced Excel knowledge and have used a proprietary system (Yardi, Manhattan, Horizon, QUBE, Tramps etc.).
