Position: Sales Executive
Location: UK wide – Field /Home based with an assigned territory.
Salary: £Competitive + OTE

ROLE: The National Account Manager / Business Development Manager will have an emphasis on new clients and development of speciality products within resellers (70% of time) and smaller end users (30% of time). This will be a home / field based role with 3-4 days in field visiting prospective clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Implement / execute agreed strategy and develop business in the agreed sectors.
b) Formulate account plans for key targets at distributor/reseller level.
c) Achieve annual sales plan of volume, price, profit and product mix.
d) Establish and maintain good relationships with prospective customers (sales representatives, technical department, warehouse manager, and customer service).
e) Conduct negotiations with customers having responsibility for agreeing planned volume, price targets etc.
f) Constantly evaluate new business opportunities in designated areas and providing valuable customer feedback into the organisation.

i) Lead Customer Driven Quality projects across the company.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience in a commercial environment in the food and drink industry.
b) Technically competent with proven skills in value added sales.
c) Proven abilities in sales development, negotiation and communication.
d) Numerate and computer literate, able to produce sales statistics and forecast trends.
e) A good team player. – must be willing to work outside his/her normal zone.
f) Innovative and analytical.
g) Highly self-motivated.
h) High levels of accuracy.

ROLE: The Trade Category Manager / Channel Marketing Manager will drive growth for the business, developing and implementing category strategies and tactics across the Foodservice and Speciality Ingredients channels, delivering complete customer marketing service to achieve short term and sustainable, long term business objectives.

l) Deliver content and updates to website.
m) Develop sales collateral, keep it up-to-date.
n) Deliver content and develop Product Lists, Exhibition collateral, Customer advertising.
o) Manage Trade Shows and Events in the UK and EU.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) University Degree level, business or marketing qualification preferred.
b) Solid Customer / Trade or Category Marketing experience gained within a Foodservice (wholesaler or manufacturer/supplier) business environment in the UK.
c) Good understanding of sector marketing and sales.
d) Strong commercial awareness.
e) Strong strategic influencing and negotiations skills.
f) Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.
g) Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and work independently to ensure project completion.
h) Working knowledge of another major European language is an advantage.
