Skills Required:

- Educated to degree level, a marketing or further business qualification an advantage
- Experienced in BD role in a law firm, performing at a senior level and routinely in a client-active, revenue winning role
- Strong persuasion and influencing skills with the ability to command attention and influence business professionals
- Excellent organisational skills, able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Good knowledge of targeting initiatives for both individual partners and teams
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Demonstrated capability to train, lead and motivate a BD and marketing team, so must have highly developed people management skills, and ability to work well in interdepartmental teams and provide fresh and creative ideas
- Exposure to working with emerging markets (Russia and the CIS) would be a great advantage

Position Summary:

Contact for local EMEA finance teams on any General Accounting US GAAP or local GAAP issues and support to Technical Accounting in preparation of accounting memos as required
Manage monthly accounting and reporting in all areas of ‘General Accounting’ remit for EMEA including transfer pricing, foreign exchange, intercompany reconciliations, joint venture accounting etc.
Work with other Functional Accounting groups for Europe Regional close process, delivery of reporting requirements, SOX certifications and quarterly assurance memos as required.
Manage EMEA SOX compliance requirements and appropriate administration and documentation for General Accounting function, including liason with internal and external auditors.
Lead and drive the development and revision of corporate policies and procedures and act as the owner of business process and policy and procedure manuals for the organization. Work with regional finance staff and other Functional Accounting groups to ensure consistency of policies and procedures and to identify and roll out best practice
Act as a contact point between finance and the business to develop and implement projects, processes, policies and procedures.
Ensure technical development and training for EMEA finance group on relevant accounting developments (UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS etc)
Lead and / or support General Accounting ad hoc tasks and projects.

Requirements:
Essential
Qualified accountant at least 5 years post qualified.
Good understanding of a range of financial systems, including SAP
Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting, internal audit, or systems administration
SOX experience preferred
Strong technical & analytical skills and some project management experience
Strong knowledge of UK/US GAAP and IFRS
