Our client is a leading independent distributor of chemicals based in the UK. They are a subsidiary company and their origins go back to the late 1700’s when the company was founded in Glasgow, Scotland.

Today they are distributors for some of the world’s major chemical companies stocking over 3000 products in various packaging sizes and in many cases are able to offer product in intermediate bulk containers (IBC’s) and bulk road tanker quantities.

They are currently looking to recruit a Commercial Assistant to join them at their office in Cheetham, Manchester. This is a varied role and you will be involved in a series of tasks to include general purchasing, preferred supplier agreements, stock control / reordering and liaising with suppliers and customers for a number of products.

The successful candidate will ideally have an academic background in Chemistry or relevant experience within the chemical industry. If you are looking to focus more on the commercial side of the chemical industry then we would love to hear from you.
