DLA Piper is a leading global law firm with 4200 lawyers located in more than 30 countries throughout the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East, positioning it to help companies with their legal needs anywhere in the world.

The DLA Piper Real Estate Group is the world’s largest real estate practice with over 500 lawyers and according to Who’s Who Legal 2013 "DLA Piper once again emerges from our research as the strongest law firm in the world for real estate.” Our clients value our global resources, regional strength and local delivery, and include private and public companies, institutional investors and government entities.

Our UK practice offers a full range of services in areas including acquisitions and disposals, construction, financing, land use, planning and development, leasing, environmental law, insurance and tax. Our clients benefit from our significant experience in orchestrating complex, long-term projects that involve drafting documentation, facilitating negotiations, navigating legal and regulatory issues and, when necessary, litigating on their behalf.

We now wish to expand our transactional real estate practice by recruiting an additional Associate to our team in Manchester. We do not set upper or lower limits of pqe for any of our vacancies. We have however given an indicative pqe as an approximate guide for applicants. Candidates who are newly or recently qualified including September 2014 qualifiers, are likely to have the right level of knowledge, and have gained the right level of experience needed to be able to undertake this role. You’ll have an excellent academic record and technical ability, but you’ll see yourself as so much more than a set of results. You’ll want to join a firm where lawyers are encouraged to take on as much responsibility as they can handle, and to develop their own business. You’ll want a firm where training and development are given the highest priority. An international firm, with deep roots in the local market, which can offer a level and variety of work you’ll find difficult to match anywhere in the UK.

So if this is the kind of challenge you have been waiting for, in a firm renowned for investing in its people and its infrastructure, we would like to hear from you.

Please note at this stage we are considering direct applications only for this vacancy, and we are not currently accepting applications sent through recruitment agents.

DLA Piper is a leading global law firm with 4200 lawyers located in more than 30 countries throughout the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East, positioning it to help companies with their legal needs anywhere in the world.

With 32 partners and a total of over 100 lawyers working exclusively in this area, we are one of the UK’s leading national practices in the field of Finance and Projects. Our strong City presence is combined with a particularly strong regional capability, and we have more finance lawyers outside London than any of our competitors. We are on the panel for each of the top 5 UK clearing banks, and act for many other leading financial institutions including clearing and investment banks, building societies, monoline insurers, issuers, borrowers and institutional investors.

We offer expertise on a broad range of financing techniques and products, including all types of debt and debt capital market products. In particular, our core specialisations include: asset based lending, asset finance, including aircraft, ship and rail finance, infrastructure and project finance, leveraged finance, real estate finance, film finance, debt capital markets, structured and receivables finance, structured trade and commodity finance, and trade finance.

We now have an opening for a NQ Finance Associate to join our team in Manchester. We do not set upper or lower limits of pqe for any of our vacancies. We have, however, given an indicative pqe as an approximate guide for applicants. If you are newly or recently qualified, you are likely to have the right level of knowledge and have gained the right level of experience needed to be able to undertake this role. Suitable candidates will have a genuine connection with the North West, and have transactional experience undertaken in a Corporate seat; candidates who have also spent time in a Finance seat would be of particular interest.
