The successful applicant will have:

* excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent overseas qualification).
* at least 2 year’s experience of construction work from firm with a reputation for construction and have a proven track record in construction work including standard form contracts, consultant appointments, bonds guarantees and related interfaces, including forward purchases, forward funding, agreements for lease and development finance.

Key responsibilities::

The client base is mainly Employer, including public sector bodies, but also includes work for contractors and consultants. The London practice enjoys a close synergy with the Real Estate division, providing construction law input on more traditional development projects in the commercial, retail and leisure sectors. Clients include developers, funders and large corporate occupiers.

The team advises on the design and construction aspects of PFI/PPP projects in UK and Europe. This includes dispute work as well as contract drafting and negotiating.

The team also regularly works with the firm’s international offices, in particular those in the Middle East, and its associated offices in Europe and across Africa.
