Key responsibilities::

This would include contract drafting, handling adjudications, working in teams on large scale disputes, undertaking document management, witness statements and project management.

The client base is mainly Employer, including public sector bodies, but also includes work for contractors and consultants. The sectors in which they operate are diverse, and include transport (principally rail and road), energy (oil and gas, nuclear, renewable), water, waste, and engineering. The London practice enjoys a close synergy with the Real Estate division, providing construction law input on more traditional development projects in the commercial, retail and leisure sectors. Clients include developers, funders and large corporate occupiers.

The team advises on the design and construction aspects of PFI/PPP projects in UK and Europe. This includes dispute work as well as contract drafting and negotiating.

The team also regularly works with the firm’s international offices, in particular those in the Middle East, and its associated offices in Europe and across Africa.


Skills and experience::
You will have experience of contentious/non-contentious construction work and have good commercial acumen.
