Our client is a leading provider of legal services to the house builder and social and affordable housing sectors. As a result of the growth in these areas, a new role of Head of Plot Sales has been created within their Commercial Property team.

The Head of Plot Sales will manage the existing plot sales teams in Taunton and Bristol, whilst setting up a new team based in their Southampton office to service their growing number of London and South East based clients. There is no preference to where the successful candidate is located but you will be expected to travel quite frequently between the three offices.

The Plot Sales team specialises in advising developer and housing association clients in all aspects of sale of new build plots, stair casing, assignment, re-sale and lease extensions for residential and mixed use schemes.

For appointment to this senior level role, the appointee is required to bring extensive experience of working within property development in acting for private and public sector clients on all aspects of plot sales and LCHO products for Housing Associations. The individual will be required to provide training, appreciate the risk issues associated with this work and supervise site set up work that will be undertaken in the team.

Managing a multi-site team of qualified solicitors, legal executives, paralegals and progressors, the individual will be an accomplished manager to achieve the best from this volume process driven work type.

With excellent client care skills, the individual will be managing internal and external client relationships and have a proven track record in maintaining the highest quality of service and customer satisfaction.

An excellent understanding of IT systems and an innovative mind set will also be important attributes to ensure that the Plots team is fully maximising the benefits from our existing systems and to identify and implement improvements to achieve profitable work streams.

To review cash utilisation, particularly in relation to the timing of the customer receipts and payments given direct relationship between sales and purchase orders for most of the business.

The ideal candidate will be an experience and commercial accountant who is used to dealing with high volume business facing challenges in relation to systems and processes. You would of held a central finance role (FC/FD Level) in the past requiring cross-functional contact and have a proven track record of having investigated and resolved similar issues and introduction of processes to prevent reoccurrence.
