Core Responsibilities
The Credit Hire Team in Glasgow are looking to recruit a Solicitor to act as first point of contact in relation to Scottish credit hire claims, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience. You will provide a timely, professional and high-quality service to clients in the management of the high volume litigated credit hire cases.
You will handle a caseload of pre litigation and litigated work covering the above types of claim with an appropriate level of supervision and assume responsibility for quality control and benchmark compliance on own caseload, including accuracy and timeliness of management reporting and information.
Other responsibilities will include:
• Ensure strict and on-going adherence to benchmark standards in all work undertaken.
• To hit, maintain and apply a consistent approach to all individual targets of chargeable time, financial performance, realisation rates, settlement rates and average claim spend.
• Exercise full compliance with DAC Beachcroft protocols on billing and credit control and demonstrate a high level of financial management in respect of own files.
• Maintain an awareness of the firm's strategies and plans.
• Maintain and develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions, reading appropriate publications.
This role will also include supporting marketing and business development activity within the team e.g. attending marketing events and client training. You will be required to handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols.
Key Skills
We are looking for an enthusiastic Solicitor with knowledge of and demonstrable interest in Credit hire related claims resolutions / litigation. Ideally you will have had exposure to litigation and CPR.
You are confident when negotiating and have excellent written and oral communication skills. You will also have a flexible, positive attitude and work well as part of a team. You have a flexible, positive attitude with experience of working within a pressurised and deadline driven environment with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
You have an outstanding eye for details with excellent IT skills and a good working knowledge of Excel and Word

The Statutory Accountant Manager will be responsible for:
- Monthly analytical review, reconciliation and explanation of account balances to facilitate month end sign off
- Review of entities’ monthly management accounts
- Analysis and review of quarterly forms for filing with the US Federal Reserve
- Analysis and review of statutory financial statements and presentation to Directors

- Strong appreciation of escalation and risk awareness
- Strong client relationship abilities
- Analytical skills with a control focus and high regard for attention to detail
- Critical thinking in order to challenge processes, solve for ad hoc queries and creativity to suggest alternative approaches.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- The successful candidate should have a technical accounting foundation, which they are keen to develop and build upon.
