Well known and rapidly expanding Capital Markets business seeks a commercially savvy Head of FP&A for a newly created role. Supporting the CFO as their right hand person, this key leadership position will have a wide and far reaching remit to provide first class business intelligence and management information to a range of internal and external stakeholders. The CFO is looking for a proven senior executive who has worked in a complex and multi faceted financial services business, facing off to Board and/or ExCo level with the gravitas and vision to successfully deliver and drive forward a substantial change agenda. This role is a rare entry point into a financially stable and growing company that would make an ideal stepping stone for an aspiring FD or CFO of the future.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Ownership and delivery of all FP&A, business partnering and commercial / strategic decision support for the main UK business lines. This will include building productive relationships with divisional CEO and ExCo level counterparts as their trusted financial advisor.
- Key input into business unit financial plans and strategy, including delivery of all relevant reporting, analysis and commentary.
- To develop and manage a number of external relationships (principally with key shareholders). This will include delivering and presenting regular financial information, results and analysis.

- Leadership, management and development of a medium sized team of Accountants (Qualified Accountant up to VP level).
- Deputise for the CFO where necessary, including involvement in project work and M&A / corporate development activities.

Your background is likely to be:

- Qualified Accountant (CA, ACA or equivalent) with substantial experience in a Head of Finance or FP&A role or similar. You’ll need a strong technical background - most likely qualifying in Audit – with relevant post qualification experience in a range of business facing and analytical roles in a medium to larger sized Banking or Capital Markets business.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting for financial products.
- Up to date knowledge of the current regulatory reporting and capital management landscape, including familiarity with current and forthcoming legislative changes.
- Proven leadership credentials and experience of developing and growing a finance team.
- A solid track record of success in a business facing role, including building relationships with Board, ExCo and non finance stakeholders.

This role is looking to make an immediate hire with salary circa £110-130k base plus benefits and healthy discretionary bonus.
