Good knowledge of spreadsheets (MS Excel) essential (skills in formulae and macro construction or the aptitude to learn these skills), with familiarity with the following applications would be preferred: Kapital, Orion and Position Server (not essential). Ability to interact with a trading room environment together with the necessary interpersonal skills to develop great partnerships and exert influence across numerous teams. Proficiency in accounting and knowledge of US and UK GAAP will be useful.

As the financial lead on this integration the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial, commercial, tax and legal due diligence of the target. The candidate will then oversee the smooth transition of all the financial processes including financial and management accounting, statutory reporting, FP&A, tax and financial control into the parent company. During this time there will be a large amount of stakeholder management ensuring that all parties in the process are kept well informed of progress and engaged in the transition.

The ideal candidate will be have a strong technical background, ideally from practice with a few years experience in industry in a mixture of financial reporting, control, management reporting and technical roles. Experience of due diligence, either from with practice / transaction services or from industry is essential as is an understanding of tax, though an expert knowledge is not required.

As well as the financial requirements applicants must be able to demonstrate strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills. They must be able to set a project plan and drive through change with minimal disruption to the business.
