Senior Transition Manager - Managed Services/IT Service Desk - £65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus - Birmingham Transition Manager with a proven background working in the Managed Services/IT Service Desk arena, is required to join a leading IT Managed Services company. The role can be based in either theBirminghamor Bracknelloffices. Main Duties:
To deliver Managed Service Transition projects focusing on Managed ServicesSolutions, using industry best practice to ensure the highest possiblecustomer satisfaction from conception to effective Business As Usual Operation. To participate in the development of Managed Service strategy,contributing on behalf of Solution Delivery to the evolution of ManagedService capability to meet group business plans The Transition Manager takes responsibility for all aspects of thefull implementation of services. Implementations exist to put into effecta Managed Service. The role will involve the formal management of theentire implementation process for each managed service sale or significantcontract extension. You will take full responsibility for the project thatdelivers the total operational implementation (start up) of all servicesdue to be delivered. Working within the agreed revenue and expense budgettargets, to optimise the effective use of all allocated resources andthereby ensure cost effective services to the Customer and maximiseprofitability. Significant participation in the ongoing development and refinementof Transition Management processes and capabilities within BusinessDevelopment is also part of this role. You will maintain a professional relationship and effective communication with all parties involved in theproject including; the account team, Service providers, third parties and the customer. A detailedunderstanding of TUPE and UK employment law would be advantageous.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
The successful candidate will have good experience gained in transitioningIT managed services. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of TUPE Have extensive experience in the IT service industry, withconsiderable experience in a true business management/IT servicemanagement post encompassing transition management ISEB/Prince 2 project management trained,with an ITIL ServiceManagement accreditation

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Functional Consultant with a solid background in Oracle Applications E-Business Suite.




This role will involve:

Providing functional leadership for assigned project roles focused on implementing applications, relevant solution design, business process analysis, and system integration with Oracle EBS.
Providing functional Oracle Financials application guidance to client regarding integration with the functionality of the software modules through all phases of an implementation.
Creating and maintaining effective client relationships.
Participating in, and supporting some pre-sales activities.
Travel to the US may be involved for up to 10 weeks per year (two weeks at a time) depending on the project.


Responsibilities:

Develop systems requirements, design and prototype, test, train, define support procedures, and implement practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
Support project team for successful delivery of the client's business requirements through all phases of the implementation.
Work with client to develop business solution designs to ensure that business requirements are met.

Assist in documenting and performing application set ups for test instances.
Thoroughly review application set up and configuration with the appropriate client lead to obtain sign off.
Raise issues and work resolutions as they come up to ensure adherence to the project schedule.
Work with the respective client functional lead to ensure knowledge transfer.
Participate with the respective client functional lead throughout system testing.
Provide guidance to the respective client functional lead in the preparation of training materials and class agendas.


Experience:

Ideally someone with experience in one or more of Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable / Fixed Assets/Cash Management: General knowledge of or experience with receivables, payables, cash management and fixed assets accounting and operational practices.
Oracle EBS - ideally experience with 2 or more implementations
