An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shipping Lawyer to join an international firm based in Saudi. Our client is a leading UK firm in the Shipping/Maritime sector and have been working in the Middle East for several years.

As a Shipping Lawyer, you would be based in Riyadh and working with the firm's other regional offices (Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait) across the full spectrum of shipping, crisis management and transactional work. You would be liaising with with shipowners, P&I Clubs, shipyards, marine insurers, governments, charterers and others involved in the industry.

Essential Skills/Responsibilities

  • Must have at least 3 years of post qualification experience
  • Experience in major aspects of maritime law i. P&I Clubs, shipping claims and chaterparty disputes
  • Admission to a recognised bar or professional legal body
  • Must have experience working for a City/International law firm's shipping practice
  • Preferably bilingual in English & Arabic (reading and writing)
  • Ideally already based in KSA or in the Middle East and looking to relocate
