Legal Counsel

A London-based seed venture capital firm, founded by a team of highly successful digital entrepreneurs and executives, are now seeking to make their first legal hire. This is an exciting in-house opportunity for a diverse Corporate Finance Lawyer from a recognised regional or London law firm with 3+PQE* looking to make their first in-house move.

Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the legal framework of this rapidly growing start-up. Duties include providing company secretarial support; managing corporate governance requirements; drafting various commercial agreements and providing advice on financing matters; as well as dealing with any other ad hoc legal issue that may arise including IP and employment issues.

Ideally you will be a commercially-minded self-starter, who would be comfortable working autonomously and methodically in a very fluid environment. You must also demonstrate excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with all levels of the organisation up to and including key stakeholders.
