A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing Bank based in the City. This reports directly in the CFO and will take full responsibility for a small, but fast-growing team.
It's very much a role for a driven, change-ready FC or FD, who likes the numbers!! Candidates MUST come from a regulated Financial Services bacground.
Key duties:
- Full responsibility for Financial Control, Reporting, process improvement and implementation
- Responsible for all Treasury and associated risk reporting / control
- Full responsibility for annual Audit preparation
- Management of key Financial risks
- Overall control of the budget planning process (P & L) and related variance reporting / control issues
- Provide key analysis of business performance on a regular and ad-hoc basis
- Responsible for cash-flow / liquidity reporting and analysis
- Presentation of all monthly results at Senior Management Meetings
- Responsible for all FINREP and related regulatory (FSA) reporting
- Various ad-hoc finance and non-finance related projects
The successful candidate:
· Fully qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA) with a minimum of 7 years PQE
· Strong excel reporting skills
· Experience working within Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Asset Management or a related F/Services institution
· Extremely hands-on attitude, a real ‘doer’
· Ability to work autonomously and lead. A problem solver
· Strong communicator with gravitas and ‘meeting presence’
· Real drive to work within a high calibre, growth business - ability to change
This role is ideally suited to a strong and ambitious Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Finance Director who has gained experience working in Financial Services.
