An opportunity for a Pensions Lawyer has surfaced at the London office of a top 60 Law firm. You will join a firm where pensions law is one of the core practice areas of the firm.
Role and Responsibilities
The pensions team predominantly advise trustees of Defined Benefit or Hybrid schemes and some Defined Contribution arrangements. They also advise employers, insolvency practitioners and individuals.
You will advise clients on all aspects of pensions law, both contentious and non-contentious, including:
- Group reorganisations and mergers
- Scheme design and benefit changes
- Scheme closure
- Liability reduction exercises
- General Pensions & Finance Acts matters
The role will be largely transactional but will have some contentious work. This is a superb opportunity to join a supportive, collegiate team which offers excellent training and supervision.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Lawyer - around 2 years' PQE
- Experience of pensions law ideally gained at a leading firm
- Experience of the contentious and non-contentious matters listed above
- Strong academic background
- Excellent communication and time management skills
Salary and Contract
- Permanent, full time contract
- Negotiable salary
