Legal Counsel

A global leisure business is looking for a Legal Counsel to join the in-house team at their UK head office in Kettering, Northamptonshire. The purpose of this full-time, permanent Legal Counsel role is to provide commercial legal advice to the business and its brands across the EMEA region.

Responsibilities of your new role

Reporting directly to the UK Head of Legal, you will enjoy a varied In-House Counsel role with duties including:

• Negotiating, drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts
• Advising the business on consumer law, compliance and regulatory issues
• Assisting the Head of Legal with Corporate and M&A
• Intellectual Property issues
• Assisting with company secretarial duties
• Reviewing new initiatives from a risk perspective
• Liaising with external counsel on key projects

Candidate requirements

The business seeks a Legal Counsel who demonstrates:

• 2-5 years of PQE in a commercial environment
• Interest in taking on a broad remit of work
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• Any GDPR or Corporate-related experience is highly beneficial

Salary

The successful Legal Counsel will be offered £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
