A Top 60 law firm are currently looking for a Risk and Compliance manager to join their office in Central London for a full-time, permanent role with a primary focus on AML. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day management of the AML and Risk Management team.
Responsibilities of your new role
This Risk and Compliance Manager role encompasses Anti-Money Laundering and Risk Management and will see the successful candidate take on a valued role within this full-service law firm.
Anti-Money Laundering
Your key AML duties will include:
- Managing the AML work and training of the AML team members across the firm
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the firm's anti-money laundering systems, policies and procedures
- Providing guidance to the other members of the AML team, the Dept. Risk Partners and other staff on the firm's AML procedures
- Keeping up to date with all changes to the AML regulations and relevant professional/regulatory requirements and make recommendations for any appropriate changes to the Head of Risk and Professional Standards
- Monitoring compliance with the firm's AML procedures across the firm
- Monitoring and reporting on high risk clients and matters.
General Risk management
Your other responsibilities as Risk and Compliance Manager include:
- Managing the administration of the firm's file review procedures
- Monitoring the operation of the firm's conflict checking procedures
- Monitoring outstanding tasks in the firm's eWork process and action where appropriate
- Carrying out compliance related projects as and when required
Candidate requirements
The firm are looking for a strong yet diplomatic Regulatory and Compliance professional who demonstrates:
- The ability to use their discretion and judgement
- Experience managing others
- Currently in an AML manager role or have worked in this area for at least three years and looking to make a step up
A background in the legal professional is not a requirement but would be an advantage.
