Commercial Finance Director

Howett Thorpe are recruiting on an exclusive basis for a Commercial Finance Director to join Manufacturing company based in the heart of Surrey. Our client is part of a Group of companies across a number of locations employing over 320 staff. Currently has an impressive customer portfolio of some of the world's largest brands and will give you true exposure to delivering the divisional strategy, alongside the Divisional Managing Director. 

About The Role

You will provide commercial and financial support to the Divisional Managing Director and have responsibility for managing a team of over 20 across a number of operations.

Financial responsibilities:

• Deliver the business strategy
• Provide leadership to the Division's Finance team and Accounting functions
• To optimise the company's financial performance
• Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and growth
• Ensure budgeting & forecasting processes are carried out in accordance with Group policy 
• Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies
• Act as the guardian of the business in financial and legal matters, being prepared to challenge and question as required

Commercial:

• Lead the development of the Commercial strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing
• analysis and guidance on activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
• Work with senior management team to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans
• Support sales team in all tenders and bids
• Develop the Commercial framework and processes to provide and maintain a robust pricing structure and business intelligence reporting

About You

• Experience within a low margin ideally Manufacturing environment
• Exposure to work in progress
• Stock experience would also be useful but not essential 
• Experience of a multi-site business 
• Must have managed large teams  
• Qualified Accountant CIMA, ACCA or ACA
