Group Finance Director

ABPM as experts in financial recruitment have been retained by their exciting market leading client who are industry leaders having been the innovators of the service offering and creator of the market - they lead where others try to follow. Exciting times in the leisure retail sector have propelled the business on an exciting journey and they dominate in the UK and US markets. At this strategically important point in their development they wish to appoint an operationally proven Finance Director who will lead finance, IT, HR, legal and the contact centre.

~ To effectively manage on a day-to-day basis all key issues relating to the Company's financial matters, including the management of treasury, foreign currency strategy, debtors and creditors, cashflow and the efficient and timely presentation of data relating to the Company's financial performance, as and when agreed necessary.

~ To build and lead the IT function that is aligned with the business strategy.

~ To contribute and support the activities of the operational management team (CEO, HR, Legal, Marketing, Commercial, and Operations) and effectively manage relationships with professional advisers, including auditors, banks, insurance brokers and solicitors.

~ In liaison with the CEO, to undertake all necessary activities to recommend to the Board of Directors, an annual budget by year and a 3 year business plan.

To be considered for this role you will be a qualified accountant with IT functional responsibility who has operated in an international multi-currency sales environment. As the ultimate financial steward of the business you will possess a strong 'financial accounting' background with experience of tax planning, cash management and managing 3rd parties. It is essential that you will have private enterprise experience as a Finance Director or similar.
