Property Accountant

A Property Accountant is sought for an 8 month contract by an award winning in-house pension fund for one of the UK’s leading employers of FTSE-100 calibre. They have won multiple awards for their sustained performance and are an employer-of-choice in their field. They operate two property portfolios (one outsourced with agents, the other managed in-house) with a combined value of c. £1.3bn and this role will play a key role in the management of this diverse portfolio.  This is a unique opportunity to gain experience with one of the leading players in the industry.
 
The Property Accountant will support the Chief Financial Officer and the wider finance team in all aspects of the internal and external reporting for the two property portfolios. This will include daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly management accounting, property reporting and performance reporting. There will also be the need to assist in the implementation of systems and compliance controls. The role will involve all elements of treasury, purchase ledger and sales ledger and an experience of VAT & CIS is essential.
 
The successful candidate for the role of Property Accountant MUST be either a finalist or a fully qualified accountant and MUST possess property accounting experience for commercial properties (e.g. CIS and property VAT).  Strong Excel skills are expected (pivot tables, sumifs, lookups etc…) and exposure to Sage Line 50 would be an advantage. Finally, candidates must possess excellent attention to detail, the ability to cope with large amounts of data and a desire to work as part of a cohesive team.

Salary: £250 - £280 per day.
