Financial Controller

An exceptional opportunity for a Financial Controller has arisen working for one of the most exciting, high growth organisations in Oxfordshire. The role reports to, and supports the CFO whilst managing a team of five individuals at present, that is growing as the business scales.

The organisation operates within the infrastructure services sector and seen astronomical growth in the short amount of time that it has been operating and consequently, has recently secured significant investment from several sources, with proven track records of delivering results in this arena.

The role itself incorporates all financial areas expected of a Financial Controller position including transactional processing, reconciliations, balance sheet, management accounts and reporting, whilst working closely with the Head of Commercial Finance who looks after credit control, billing, FP&A and wider commercial activities.

Due to the business being on a trajectory, the Financial Controller will be an individual who can deal with ambiguity around systems and processes, as well as having the ability to implement new procedures to help define the function. Possessing a strong technical background including IFRS experience is critical to the success of this role.

The ideal candidate will have both experience of working in fast moving SME businesses as well as experience of larger corporate businesses, as this will assist them in knowing what best practice looks like. Operating in a collaborative manner, being forward-thinking and having strong motivational and leadership skills are all key traits of the successful candidate.
