Our exclusive client is a diverse international manufacturing group with operations globally and are leading players in their core markets. Their UK business has performed particularly well and they are keen to attracted a talented Senior Finance Business Partner to join their Midlands hub based in the Black Country area. The Senior Finance Business Partner will work closely with the GM in in driving business performance and profitability.

Financial Management
- Ensure the production of the plant budget in collaboration with all the plant services and in liaison with the UK management and the BU financial teams:
- Manage the Preparation of the budget with all services and validate with the plant management
- Provide analysis and follow ups of the budget and associated action plans
- Prepare the reporting and ensure financial accuracy
- Monthly Actuals results
- 3 months rolling forecast
- Risk/opportunities, variance analysis, action plans
- Produce the plant 5 years plan in collaboration with the plant and UK management teams
- Follow up of the capital expenditures in compliance with the group rules (requests, profitability calculation)
- Follow up of operational expenses and capital (investments, stocks)
- Follow up of the action plans when targets are not met: analysis of causes, propose and follow the action plans with the concerned departments
- Responsible for validating the stock discrepancies in the system
- Working with internal and external auditors as appropriate
Cost Controlling
- Follow up on plant productivity plans to ensure the consistency between the financial data and the actual production costs
- In liaison with the technical department and with the cost controller, develop comprehensive products costing and calculation of the hourly rates ensuring their consistency in application
- Collaborate with the continuous improvement team to drive operation saving projects creating prioritised action plans as appropriate. Verify the actual saving from operation cost down activities
- Provide financial support to all ad-hoc projects, recommending improvement to business practices and processes
Management
- Participate in the recruitment process of the plant controlling team
- Set targets, provide assistance, plan the team workload
- Grow departmental talent with structured development plans
The Candidate:
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Comfortable with an ERP system (SAP advantageous)
- Fully proficient in excel (and familiarity with other MS Office applications)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels and within different functions in a multi-national environment
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Accurate and methodical in data analysis
- Ability to prioritise and handle multiple competing priorities
- Able to work under pressure with a strong desire to achieve aggressive targets within
- A strong work ethic and team orientation
- Significant experience within a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment essential (automotive advantageous)
