Group Financial Controller

A young, high growth, fintech company based in London central has an exciting opportunity for a first-class finance professional to join them as Group Financial Controller. Supporting the CFO and working alongside the Head of FP&A, this role will take global responsibility for managing financial controls, processes and reporting along with management of taxation, treasury and insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for financial integrity and delivery of robust controls
• Provision of quality technical and analytical support to the CFO
• Supervise and manage all statutory and financial reporting
• Development and implementation of new controls for all financial reporting across the group
• Oversee and work with external advisors on all tax matters to ensure the optimum tax position
• Work closely and develop good relationships with the business line Directors
• Take full responsibility for the constant management and improvement of financial systems
• Help create an environment of continuous improvement to ensure the business has a robust infrastructure and a finance function that is best in class
• Lead and develop the a small team of accountants
• Assisting with fundraising and financial due diligence
• Work alongside the Head of FP&A on all financial and planning matters

Candidate Profile:

• Graduate and Qualified accountant (ACA)
• Financial controller experience from within a dynamic SME or autonomous division of a larger organisation
• A proven people manager with experience of managing and developing a team
• Excellent communicator at all levels, able to establish strong relationships across the business
• Hands on pragmatic approach

Offering circa £85K - £90K base, plus package incl. bonus, benefits & equity shares
