Interim Senior Global Accountant

A well-known and respected insurance business is looking for a Senior Global Accountant to join their finance team during a time of change to assist in a number of areas, based in London, £325-£425 per day (dependant on experience).

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• To gather, manage and monitor the integrity of the management and financial data used for all reporting to the Group Board including management accounts, forecasts and the three year plan;
• Ensure Financial Accounting throughout the Bupa Group complies with the latest accounting guidance and promote best practice;
• Report writing to the Group's Board and sub-committees, bringing to their attention key accounting issues, areas of judgement and technical developments;
• Preparation of the Group's consolidated statutory accounts for Full Year and Half Year
• Taking the lead on high profile commercial projects and ad-hoc tasks, which will provide exposure to a number of senior managers;

Key candidate requirements:

• Qualified accountant
• Extensive group and financial reporting experience
• Excellent IFRS knowledge
• Proven track record of evaluating and implementing process improvements across a finance function
• Insurance industry experience would be highly advantageous
• Driven, motivated personality with a problem solving, hands-on attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Confident team player committed to adding value
