Detailed Job Description

The role of the Finance Business Partner (FBP) reports to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to provide a comprehensive and proactive service to department head of the respective business units providing intelligence to support the delivery of business unit and organisational financial goals. Develop relationships with key stakeholders management skills, with a proven ability to build networks, challenge, influence and agree actions, and will have the ability to articulate complex financials to a wide range of stakeholders. The Finance Business Partner will drive short, medium and long-term planning by partnering across Finance and the Group as a whole to align business capabilities with the Executive team and business group requirements

This role is varied and will include;

  • Challenging assumptions and quantifying/valuing various strategic options
  • Work in partnership with the business to provide financial and commercial guidance to activities
  • Collaborate with business unito understand the revenue and cost drivers by department and activity
  • Responsible for the analysis of spend / ROI and subsequent recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder relationship experience, plus proven ability to deliver / manage through change and hit the ground running are essential prerequisites
  • Responsible for providing end-to-end strategic and operational support for financial activities and performance
  • Provide insights and analysis to the business unit leadership team in order to support decision making as well as working with the

Candidate's Profile

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant and have a number of the following attributes and skills;

  • Demonstrate excellent commercial acumen and decision making
  • Possess high level of resilience and the ability to work under pressure to tight reporting deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a cross divisional team as well as independently
  • Demonstrate the necessary gravitas, influence and credibility at a senior leadership levels
  • Excellent communicator at all levels within a corporate environment Ability to present information in a structured and balanced way
  • Highly-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Understand the bigger picture and be proactive in the management of their workload and the wider business requirements
  • Ability to demonstrate substantial (5 to 7 years PQE) experience in a finance business partnering role or similar collaborative role
  • Substantial experience in a multi-jurisdictional and complex environments
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the preparation of financial statements for UK, including preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS, preparation of management reports, analysis and management of projects to improve business performance
  • Demonstrated experience in Finance Planning and Analysis Role
  • Experience in supporting the business to achieve in sales business models
  • Should have experience in a continuous improvement environment
