Group Financial Controller
Gatwick
Salary: £85000 - £95000 per annum
Air Partner are a multinational, global aviation services group with their Head Quarters based in Gatwick. Due to a recent restructure, they are looking to appoint a Group Financial Controller to report directly into the CFO.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the finance function of a publicly listed company and work in a dynamic, fast paced environment. The successful candidate will be a key partner in driving the business forward working closely with the CFO and have fantastic exposure to the CEO.
Duties will include:
- Ownership and management of the Group finance function
- Developing systems and processes of the group finance function
- Consolidation, review and reporting of monthly performance
- Management of the group budgeting, business planning and forecasting processes
- Review, development and implement a more efficient structure
- Development of local systems, processes and controls
- Primary review of monthly performance
- Preparation of IFRS statutory accounts for the Group and several subsidiary companies
- Managing a smooth audit process across the group
- Ensuring that the Group has appropriate internal controls, legal compliance and risk management
- Management of group tax and treasury function, including cash flow and hedging
- Maintaining relationships with external stakeholders such as banks and HMRC
- Supporting the implementation of an upgraded finance system (NAV 16)
- Ad hoc projects as required by CEO and CFO
- Strategic analysis e.g. opening new offices, evaluating possible joint ventures or acquisitions
The successful candidate should ideally be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or overseas equivalent).

- Comprehension of other European languages would be advantageous

- A pragmatic, commercial approach
- Commercial experience (ideally including international experience)
- Experience in leading teams
- Experience of restructuring/building a finance department preferable
- Strong commercial knowledge as well a sound understanding of financial issues, including current accounting standards
- Experience of non-UK finance entities
- Highly systems literate including strong excel
- Innovative and comfortable with change
