This Senior Business Partner -Integration role is with a very exciting Leisure business who went through a big period of change. The role will be based between Nottingham and London and as there will be stakeholders based in both. There is a lot of flexibility around how may days are spent in each location depending on the successful candidate's preference.
Senior Business partnering non-IT integration workstream leaders and engendering an environment of tight cost control and value for money
o Ensuring accurate and timely cost centre reporting
o Challenging workstream leaders to control costs and explain variances
o Ensuring a rolling forecast of costs is up to date
o Efficiently managing the month end close
* Upward reporting of integration costs to the Integration Steering Committee, Group Board and Group Finance
Key Responsibilities
* Meet regularly with workstream leaders to:
o Ensure that all costs that have been incurred are accurately reflected in the numbers
o Provide insightful commentary on the costs that have been incurred
o Review actual costs to date and challenge and understand variances from plan
o Establish a current view of total project forecast
* Responsible for the monthly close process ensuring rigour and accuracy in the close process:
o Ensure all costs are recorded accurately in the finance systems
o Capture costs in the correct cost centre and report accurately as capital or revenue cost
o Take ownership of month end accounting adjustments for all accruals and prepayments
o Review costs and provide commentary to the Group Finance team as part of the formal Group monthly close
* Responsible for budgeting and quarterly reforecasting of non-IT integration costs including presentation of such forecasts to the Director of Financial Control and the CFO
* Work closely and flexibly with the wider finance team who are responsible for the tracking and reporting of all integration related costs
* Work with the Head of Statutory reporting in the accounting for and control of exceptional costs
* Identify control weaknesses and implement any necessary changes needed to ensure more robust financial controls are in place
* Provide regular reports on non-IT integration costs to the Integration Steering Committee, Group Board and Group Finance, including:
o Actuals costs to date with insightful commentary and explanation of variances
o Current view on full project costs with justification
