Financial Controller

Grafton Banks Finance is currently recruiting a Financial Controller for a rapidly growing international and private equity backed organisation, with offices in Oxford. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the main purpose of the role is to take full responsibility for the day to day running of the finance function, management and development of a small finance team. This is a critical role within the organisation and requires someone who is capable of putting systems, processes and controls in place, which can aid the business achieve the next phase of growth.

- Manage, motivate, develop and lead a quality finance team;
- Full responsibility for the preparation and production of group management and statutory accounts;
- Development and implementation of best in class processes, systems and controls;
- Assist with scoping/planning and implementing new finance and operational systems;
- Oversee credit control, cash management, cash flow forecasting and covenant testing;
- Assist with legal, financial and tax compliance;
- Manage the year end audit process;
- Management of the annual budget and audit process;
- Preparation of quarterly and annual forecasts;
- Add value to a number of growth accelerated projects

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Finance Manager/Controller, who is well versed in all accounting procedures and possesses proven experience of managing/developing a finance team. Previous experience of implementing best practice, processes systems and controls is essential, together with strong technical skills and a high level of commercial aptitude. Good working knowledge of systems, in particular Sage, will be extremely advantageous.
