English or German in-house Lawyer - 5-10 years post-qual experience. hospitality/leisure/hotels/travel

With an excellent academic record and experience training and/or working in a ranked law firm, ideally you will already have in-house experience but this can be negotiable. You will have a high level of understanding of real estate transactions, particularly in the hotel and resorts or hospitality and leisure industry sector. You will have proven experience drafting and negotiating management agreements, lease agreements, franchise agreements, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and experience in real estate development as well as an understanding of real estate finance.

To succeed in this role you will be analytically astute, be able to handle situations and problems with innovation and creativity and be able to demonstrate an understanding of how one issue may be part of a much bigger system, identifying common themes across the multiple issues.
Your experience will combine excellent technical legal knowledge with a keen commercial focus and practical judgement.
You will be adept in combining compliance and risk management requirements with delivery of an ambitious business transformation agenda.
Naturally, you will have excellent communication skills, along with great attention to detail, resilience and an ability to work at pace in a transformational environment.

You will be responsible for:
* Drafting/reviewing and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, with a particular focus on management agreements, joint venture and partnership agreements, franchise agreements and lease agreements
* Providing legal advice in respect of real estate development projects, including drafting and negotiating the required agreements
* Providing legal advice in respect of the establishment and operation of real estate fund structures
* Draft/review and negotiate commercial contracts supporting HR
* Act as key legal advisor to the HR team providing legal, commercial and strategic advice
* Develop and deliver legal and commercial training to the HR team, including in respect of template agreements, current legal developments, compliance topics and key legal issues with the intention of enabling a level of self-sufficiency for the team
* Manage relationships with external law firms and ensure that all law firms provide relevant, timely and cost-effective advice
