Financial Controller

A successful and growing FMCG company based in the Chester area has a fantastic position available for a Financial Controller to join business.

The company is positive, extremely passionate with reference to their core beliefs and customers and their client and customer base is very impressive.

To be part of the company's continued growth the objective for the role will be to have full responsibility for assessing commercial and promotional effectiveness, producing monthly board reports and interpreting management accounts, producing weekly KPIs and analysis, while managing the finance function and being a business partner to the sales and marketing team.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for the production of full board report and other external information packs
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining commercial and operational KPIs and producing weekly and monthly variance analysis to aid in decision making
• Responsible for all statutory reporting, compliance, insurance, taxation, payroll, property maintenance, pension, health and safety and IT support
• Supervision of sales ledger, purchase ledger and treasury with specific focus on cash management, ID facility control and credit control
• Implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure good business control
• Management of third party relationships such as auditors, tax advisors etc
• Provide promotional analysis and strategic/commercial solutions
• Completion of annual budget
• Play a major part in the new system implementation
• Project work as directed by the CFO/CD

The Person

• CIMA/ACCA Qualified or equivalent
• Positive attitude with fantastic communication skills
• Strong with systems and processes/implementation
• Dynamic, ambitious, can-do attitude
• Industry experience such as retail/distribution advantageous
