An opportunity has arisen for a private client solicitor to join this Legal 500 listed, leading practice in Leeds as as Legal Director.

The firm takes a modern approach to legal services. Award-winning, the firm is recognised for handling high profile and complex legal matters by its team of highly rated lawyers from national and international law firms. The private client team handles a range of associated matters from wills and trusts to loss of mental capacity, critical tax planning, wealth management and business succession. Many of the firms solicitors are members of associated alliances such as Solicitors for the Elderly, Dementia Action and STEP and the team's advice spans across Europe. Working closely with the firm's corporate team, the work is varied and interesting.

With strong potential to move into partnership, you will already be working within private client law at senior associate level and be ready to progress to the next level. This opportunity will involve coaching, supporting and managing the team on a daily basis, so a solicitor with strong people management experience is desired. This is an integral position within the team and will fulfill the role of 'anchor' to the team to include conducting reviews and providing feedback.

In addition to the management element, you will be required to conduct a case load at senior solicitor level and make a strategic contribution to the business in the way a partner would do. Along with the marketing team you will take an active contribution in marketing and practice development and develop strong working relationships with other practice areas. It's a collaborative firm with a forward-thinking outlook so the ability to build strong relationships both internal and external is key.
