Badenoch & Clark are currently working in partnership with a highly reputable and prestigious company based out of Shoreham towards the appointment of a Financial Controller. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you will be accountable for the production, integrity and delivery of financial control and financial reporting across the business. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all management and statutory reporting requirements are met.
Due to the nature of the role the correct candidate will have demonstrable experience within the Financial Controller function within a multi-national company. The suitable applicant must also hold a professional accountancy qualification; ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
Key Accountabilities:
*Deliver accurate and fairly presented monthly financial statements and analysis for the company and its entities.
*Timely report the company's monthly financial position to the Leadership team and Group Finance.
*Comply with all company policy and procedures and financial, legal and statutory accounting regulations and practices.
*Prepare annual budget and monthly, quarterly and annual financial forecast for the Division.
*Investigate and report monthly actual results vs. budget and forecast variances.
*Contribute to the direction, management and development of the Division to enhance overall profitability, financial performance and achieve the Division's financial results.
*Deliver accurate financial reporting of percentage of completion project accounting, grant income and expense reporting, cash management and billing are key requirements of the Financial Controller position.
*Manage the intercompany transactions with the various Divisions based on intercompany purchase orders and provide shares accounting services (payroll, debtors and creditors).
*Provide close financial support to the Project Leaders and the leadership team.
*Prepare presentations and participate in the Quarterly Executive Board meeting. Review monthly financial results with Group Executives.
*Maintain close liaison with the Group Financial Controller and Group Finance teams including Group Heads of Tax and Treasury.
Essentials
*Recognised professional accounting qualification: ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
*Management and financial accounting responsibility.
*Proficient knowledge of IFRS.
*Internal or external audit experience.
*Multi company financial statement consolidation experience .
*Grant funded and project accounting preferred.
*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
*Lean continuous improvement experience.
*Awareness of wider commercial environment.
*Exposure to long term work-in-progress accounting.
