Financial Controller

Investigo are currently working with a well-known Retail business to source a dynamic Financial Controller to cover a period of maternity leave, expected to be up to 9 months.

This role will report directly to the Finance Director and have responsibility for all internal and external financial statements, general ledger, group cash management, accounts payable function. budgeting and tax compliance, to influence and shape the business.
This vacancy will suit a highly energetic, dynamic Controller with a hands on, can do attitude ideally from a retail environment.

The successful applicant will have immediate exposure and responsibility within the company and have hands on involvement in the budgeting and re forecasting and will also cover a Year End at the end of January 2018.

Additional Duties / Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a finance function of 11
• Maintain day to day financial controls
• Control and monitor Purchase order process
• Review weekly forecasted cashflows, ensuring business is within facility and manage foreign currency funds.
• Oversee and approve international franchise orders, including certificate or origin and shipping documents.
• Manage annual budget process and twice annual reforecast
• Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls.
• Ensure completion of VAT returns, accurate and on time, for the company and its common owned entities

Required skills / Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA or CIMA
• Min of 5 Years' experience in a senior finance role with budget accountability and stakeholder reporting responsibilities.
• Strong and clear communicator
• Previous experience of developing, maintaining and improving management information systems
• Be a self starter with strong problems solving skills.
