Financial Controller

Reed Finance have been engaged by one of Peterborough's leading employers to recruit a UK Financial Controller for their ever-expanding business.

The company provides a highly needed and sought after product and service. They are a global leader in their field, who have built an enviable reputation by providing outstanding customer service, efficient operational management and their innovative designs.

The objective of the UK Financial controller is the responsibility of the management and production of work from the accounting department, reporting to board level directors in respect of all the financial and accounting activities.

In this fundamental role to the business, the role will involve, but not limited to -

• Ensure the accuracy of all accounting records and statements in both UK GAAP and IFRS
  Management of the senior Team Managers who lead the various transactional functions
• Produce reports to appropriate deadlines identifying trends, results, financial forecasts, as well as statutory and management reporting ensuring compliant with regulations and legislations
• Develop budgets and financial plans for use by the company
• Managing Cash flow and Working Capital
• Create and implement systems that are compliant to regulations and legislations, and to streamline processes
• Support the business with financial analysis of M&A projects
• Utilise commercial acumen to ensure sound processes in place to support and challenge budget owners

• Hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent with a degree in an appropriate field
• Have demonstrable experience in a Controller post or similar, in a commercial environment
• Are technically exceptional in accounting
• Show good knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS

On a personal level you will have strong commercial acumen, an excellent attention to detail, be solutions-focused, able to adapt your communication to suit your audience and possess effective negotiation skills.
