Rapidly growing FMCG Organisation urgently requires a Qualified Project Accountant - Commercial Business Units, to come on board for a 6 months plus temporary assignment.
This project will involve a transformation of all aspects of the business including finance. Due to the commercial changes within the business they are seeking a Project Accountant. The organisation currently has management reporting systems and legal entity reporting systems that are overly complex. Sales being made by legal entities that should be made by other, more appropriate legal entities. This project role will focus on simplifying the current management reporting structure and ensuring that it is mapped to a legal entity view of the business, and migrating customers to the appropriate legal entities.
The Project Accountant will involve working across all areas of the business; Finance, IT, Customer Services and Commercial Directors in order to get an aligned process. Duties of the Project Accountant include:
Review current legal entity/ Commercial framework and create an alignment plan.
Running the steering group and be in charge of all stakeholder engagement and sign off.
Present findings to the IT and finance governance board.
Manage all stakeholders in the alignment of customers between legal entities to match the commercial framework including but not limited to (Billing, customer notification, Commercial Directors, IT and Finance)
Manage the movement of customers between legal entities for export, non-export and e-commerce.
Highlighting and resolving any potential problems for the movement of customers for example currency, tax and legal. This will involve working closely with Customer Services, Finance the Commercial teams.
Manage and find solutions for any practical problems in moving customers, for example customer services, credit control and logistics
Manage any changes in circumstances for customers
Manage the implementation of the new framework into core IT systems
The project will be successfully completed when the commercial framework is aligned to legal entities, and this is embedded within our core IT systems.
The Project Accountant would hold a professional accounting qualification with experience of managing
global projects. Have an understanding of business processes and IT systems. How management
framework should be implemented. Strong business partnering skills, self-motivated with the ability to
take initiative and ownership, ability to relentlessly focus where most value can be added. The Project
Accountant would require a FMCG background.
