Commercial Litigation Solicitor, Newcastle

This Lexcel accredited regional North East firm is currently seeking an experienced commercial litigation solicitor with 5+ years' PQE to join its well established commercial team in Newcastle. The firm has looked after businesses and individuals across the North East for many years. Experience in contentious probate, professional negligence, and contentious insolvency is desirable. You will be able to demonstrate experience in dealing with medium/high net worth cases and have the ability to work autonomously.

The successful solicitor will:

- Be responsible for handling a mixed caseload of commercial litigation files
- Be responsible for dealing with correspondence in a timely manner, ensuring all files are prepared in line with the firm's Lexcel requirements
- Have the ability to fully prepare for all interviews and court appointments in order that you can professionally and competently represent the firm's clients
- Be responsible for providing support to the partners and solicitors in both Newcastle and Chester le Street
- Have a sound understanding of the local economy and demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness
- Be a keen networker and proactively assist with the development and marketing of the commercial department
- Working closely with the firm's business development and marketing managers
- Be responsible for the upselling and cross selling of the firm's wider service offering
