The role

In order to reinforce the compliance function on a global level, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chief Compliance Officer to be based in the company's headquarters. This exciting role will involve all activities related to the promotion, implementation and consolidation of the company's compliance programme. Reporting into the General Counsel, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring a wide range of activities on an international level and across the different businesses of the Group. He/she will be the go-to person and ambassador for the compliance function sitting on the Compliance Committee and attending high level meetings with top management.

Profile sought

The role requires a solid experience in compliance within the pharmaceutical sector, as well as the capacity to interact with different level of business, for which gravitas and excellent communication skills are required. The successful candidate will be an agile thinker, proactive and pedagogical in their approach. He/she will be an experienced legal professional (with in-house experience), with at least 6/7 years PQE in a compliance function within the pharmaceutical sector. Fluency in Spanish is required and a strong proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.

The role is based in Madrid and will include frequent travelling on a worldwide basis.
