In-House Company Commercial Solicitor

Our national client is looking for a talented Company Commercial Solicitor to join their highly regarded legal team at their headquarters in Hertfordshire. Consideration will be given to candidates who can work from home as long as they can commute regularly to Borehamwood and Central London.

They are looking for candidates with proven corporate/commercial experience, strong business acumen and enthusiasm to learn and progress their career. You will be involved in M&A, refinancing and other significant corporate legal work. You will also be assisting in areas such as drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts, shareholder agreements and real estate matters.

Candidates with a hardworking and can do attitude, who would be willing and able to get involved a number of different areas of work are sought. You will be self-sufficient, be able to hit the ground running and stand on your own two feet. In return you will be developed and mentored by experienced lawyers where you can further progress and develop your career at an exciting and growing organisation.

The position will report directly into the General Counsel and you will be working directly with the business teams and instructing and working with external lawyers / advisers where relevant. On this basis you will need to be able to point to strong communication skills combined with a commercial approach.

Our client keeps the majority of the interesting work In-House, you will also be expected to work with an external counsel when relevant.

Our client envisages that candidates with 2 -4 years PQE will have the relevant skills/knowledge for this position, however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant experience.
