Head of Financial Reporting

This market leading insurance business continually drives innovation through the sector. The business is looking to develop its finance function by recruiting a technically strong head of financial reporting. You will take ownership of the group's financial reporting, identifying and executing improvements and ensuring maximum value add through strong financial support.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Managing all the management, financial and statutory reporting, to agreed deadlines and with full analysis and insight, and ensure that all financial controls are maintained at the highest levels
• Proactive management, development and ongoing motivation of the current team, ensuring appropriate structures are in place, drive continuous improvement, best practice, efficiency and career development
• Drive continuous efficiencies and cost reduction process across the business
• Ensure that the company complies with all the regulatory requirements and developing close working relationships with tax, treasury and legal departments

You will be a qualified accountant with a strong technical background in group financial reporting. Pervious experience of working within financial services and of working with solvency II would be highly beneficial.

You will be a strong leader with prior experience of mentoring and developing a team. You will have the credibility and gravitas to challenge and influence both internal and external stakeholders across the business and the desire to deliver above and beyond expectations.
