In this role, the Marketing Director serves as a national marketing "hub," to develop and champion the annual marketing plan for specific National Scale business segments. This position is a key partner of the business team and must be able to effectively translate business objectives into actionable marketing strategies driving growth and member acquisition. This leader will partner with internal and external agencies and serve as a liaison between functional partners to ensure plan execution is on time and budget. Individual must have experience partnering effectively in a matrix organization and is adept at nuancing communications for various levels of management as service, product or process decisions are most likely to impact multiple functions and / or customer accounts. Agency experience is desirable. Primary Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
- Leads development of annual marketing plan, translating the tactical roadmap and driving plan execution for National Scale businesses
- Collaborates with business leads, key internal stakeholders , and internal functional partners to drive key milestones, manage budgets, timeline etc.
- Leads external agencies and suppliers in development of creative work and strategic marketing solutions
- Directs and influences others without direct authority to champion ideas and resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines
- Creates campaign tracking plan, evaluates results, identifies best performing marketing activities, refines plan and implements improvements into future marketing initiatives
- Creates research plan, assessing proprietary and third - party data, to develop deep customer understanding, identify pain points, solutions and segmentation insights
- Oversees and manages marketing budget to deliver against business goals
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years of strategic marketing leadership
- 3+ years working in matrix organization
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Proven success in the development of strategic marketing plans tied to business goals and deployment of innovative integrated marketing campaigns
- Experience leading cross - functional teams to deliver results on complex initiatives
- Ability to work collaboratively in an entrepreneurial and sales driven environment
- Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
- Experience navigating change, challenging the status quo and inspiring new ideas and processes
- Proven success managing multiple agency and external vendor relationships
- Strong, proven analytical skills
- Live within a commutable distance to the Minnetonka office
- MBA and / or advanced degree
- Business to business marketing
- Digital and direct marketing to reach customized target segments
- Experience with lead generation initiatives such as time - sensitive promotional campaigns and / or 1:1 marketing
